NEC RF and Microwave RFIC and Discrete Transistor devices, available in industry standard and miniaturized packages, serve virtually all current wireless applications, and together with Application Engineering and Technical Sales support for CEL, provide high performance and highly reliable solutions for our customers.

West meets East in California Eastern Laboratories (CEL). The company handles NEC's sales and marketing in North America for radio-frequency (RF), wireless, optoelectronic, and fiber-optic semiconductor products. Each year CEL ships more than 100 million NEC devices, directly and through large electronics distributors like Arrow and Jaco Electronics. At CEL's California design facility, engineers from both companies collaborate in developing products that NEC then manufactures in Japan. Subsidiary ISG Broadband was sold to Sirenza Microdevices in 2004 in a deal worth between $7 million and $14 million. CEL, which was founded in 1959, is employee-owned.
