Zetex is a leading provider of high performance, analog semiconductor products for signal processing and power management. The company designs and manufactures a broad range of standard and application focused linear integrated circuits and discrete semiconductor products using a wide variety of wafer processing technologies.

Headquartered near Manchester in the UK, Zetex employs more than 750 people worldwide. The company has two wafer fabrication plants in the UK and carries out package development, assembly and test at its facilities in Germany and China and through subcontractors in Asia.

Zetex operates sales offices in Munich, Hong Kong and New York and is supported by a global network of distributors and manufacturer's representatives. The company was a wholly owned subsidiary of Telemetrix PLC until April 2004, when the resolution was passed to change the company name to Zetex Semiconductors plc. The Zetex portfolio comprises power management and signal management products used in a huge variety of applications, such as cellular phones, digital cameras, home theater, hand-held games, PDAs, laptops and battery chargers, to name just a few.

In power management, Zetex offers a growing range of IC products, including LED drivers for LCD back lighting, single/dual cell boost converters, current monitors and fan motor controllers.

Zetex' signal management family includes an expanding range of audio, video and direct broadcast by satellite (DBS) products such as analog and digital audio amplifiers, video sync separators, video amplifiers and LNB bias controllers.

The company also produces a wide range of discrete semiconductor products including low on-resistance N and P channel MOSFETs, latest generation low saturation bipolar transistors, Schottky rectifier and varactor diodes.
